When I created my dream wishlist at the start of the year, I never thought for a moment that I’d be able to get this particular item from it. Some of the others were a maybe, a ‘possibly if I save up’, but this, I thought, was something I threw in there for the lols. But, somehow it’s worked its way into my collection and I literally have not stopped screaming since it arrived.
So, here it is, my vintage Chanel bag. It’s got some scuffs and some bumps, but hey, I think it adds to its character (and meant it was a bargain, too!). I remember seeing a wonderfully stylish person on instagram with a dark blue velvet version of this bag with the interlocking chain and I head over heels feel in love. That’s when I knew I didn’t want the traditional leather and chain combination and that this version had to be mine.
I stumbled across this one, in black leather lambskin with the traditional red interior and I knew it was the one for me. The hardware is still intact, the lock function works perfectly and, despite it being made around the year I was born (25 years ago!) it’s still in amazing vintage condition. I love the more straight edge to the flap, too. I’m dying to wear it forever and ever. It’s perfect and I love it and I’m so happy – aaah! What do you think?
